Established ni 2020, Sydney Community Group (SCG) is a philanthropic beacon ni Sydney, Australia, dedicated to enhancing the well-being and unity of the city’s diverse communities. As a compassionate charitable organization, SCG’s mission is to address the complex challenges faced by the homeless community ni Sydney. Our approach is comprehensive, offering essential services including food banks, clothing distribution, shelter, and educational programs, embodying our commitment to holistic community care.
SCG’s efforts stretch across a spectrum of communities, from First Nations to various multicultural groups, underlining our dedication to inclusivity and cultural sensitivity in building a more just and equitable society. At the core of our work is a team of women volunteers, whose tireless efforts ensure the effective delivery of our initiatives and nurture a culture of communal responsibility. Our resolve is to make a profound difference ni the lives of those we serve, positioning SCG as a pillar of empathy and aid amidst the dynamic and varied communities of Sydney.
SCG’s mission is two-fold:
Collaborate closely with local and national charitable organisations to provide essential resources to vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals. They actively work towards making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
Establish a robust volunteer force dedicated to serving various community segments, including seniors,
children, youth, women, immigrant, first nation communities. Their primary focus is on social and public welfare, striving to create a more harmonious and caring society.

The Sydney Community Group is established to be a charity whose purpose is to advance social and public welfare by undertaking activities such as:
Providing clothing to people who are homeless and others who cannot afford to buy clothing for themselves.
Providing parcels of food and other essential grocery items to homeless people and others who cannot afford to buy basic food and groceries for themselves.
Money and goods to people who have lost their homes due to bushfires or other disasters, to ensure that they can have a modest standard of living while they are recovering from losing their home.
Temporary accommodation to people who have suffered the loss of their homes due to bushfires or other disasters, to assist in relieving their immediate distress and needs due to their loss.
